5 reasons why you should store your bins and boxes away
Are your bins and boxes just sat at the bottom of your garden, being an eyesore? Maybe you’re fed up of having to retrieve the lids to your recycling boxes from across the road every time the wind blows. Here are just a few of the many reasons why you should store them all away in a bin and box collection.
- Hide them
These days we have a bin for cardboard, a bin for gardening waste, a bin for this, a box for that. The group of bins huddled at the back of our gardens seems to be multiplying, so the last thing you want people to notice about your freshly pruned lawn is your ugly bins! Keep them out of view to ensure your garden remains the focus of their attention.
- Stop them falling over
To say British weather is unpredictable might be a cliché, but it’s also true! We’ve gone outside in the morning one too many times to find rubbish everywhere because our bins have fallen victim to a strong gust of wind during the night. If they’re packed away safe and sound, there’s no chance of that happening.
- Keep vermin away
Returning to point two, any waste food that’s fallen out of your bin could attract pests. You don’t want to wake up to find mice or rats nibbling at last week’s leftover cottage pie next to your rose garden!
- Prevent neighbours using them
Everyone has one neighbour that will try to sneak their excess rubbish into your wheelie bins when your back’s turned. If your bins are safely locked away, they’ll just have to find somewhere else to dump it!
- Stop people going through your rubbish
You might be one of the many people worried about identity theft, shredding anything with your name and address on to stop passers-by dipping their hands into your bin and helping themselves to your details. Finally get the peace of mind you’ve been craving by storing your bins and boxes away.
